The Vietnam POW story is unlike any other in the history of America. Its stands alone. Never in our history have so many men been held captive in a foreign prison for so long – six hundred plus men for as long as eight and a half years. Their story is both horrifying and electrifying. We cannot let these courageous American POW’s become a footnote in history. Their actions under captivity reflect the same principles that have shaped the nation to preserve the freedoms first declared in 1776.
